New Covenant Fellowship
We are a house church fellowship of Jesus followers
and seekers that meets in Port Colborne, Ontario.
Our desire is to capture and live in the spirit of Acts 2v42. While some might begin meeting as a group with the intention of building a sizeable congregation, we seek
to function as a small, “every-member” active group with Jesus as our Head. There will be no building nor paid staff.
At the core, we function as disciples of Jesus with the goal of making other disciples (according to Jesus’ instructions
in Matthew 28v19).
What we do . . .
According to the pattern of the early church, we meet for mutual encouragement, meals, study of the Bible and prayer (Acts 2v42-43).
According to the description of the church being the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12v12) with Him as our head, we rely on the contribution of every member
as Jesus leads each and everyone to serve Him.
Through all of our activities, we strive to grow, as Jesus’ disciples, to be more like Him.

What beliefs describe us . . .
A good, basic statement of faith has been framed by The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada as follows:
• The Holy Scriptures, as originally given by God, are divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
• There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
• Our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh; we affirm his virgin birth, sinless humanity, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, ongoing mediatorial work, and personal return in power and glory.
• The salvation of lost and sinful humanity is possible only through the merits of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, received by faith apart from works, and is characterized by regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
• The Holy Spirit enables believers to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.
• The Church, the body of Christ, consists of all true believers.
• Ultimately God will judge the living and the dead, those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
What the Bible tells us . . .
“This is My body, which
is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.” And likewise the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup that is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood.”
Luke 22v19-20
And they devoted themselves
to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles.
Acts 2v42-43
And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad
and generous hearts, praising God and having favour with
all the people.
Acts 2v46-47a
